Students of ASU Covered Celebration of Nowruz
18.04.2018On April 14, 2018, people of Astrakhan celebrated Nowruz – the day of spring, friendship, and prosperity. Students of Astrakhan State University worked as reporters at the holiday events; the federal media resource “National Accent” published their materials.
Our students are studying at the School of Interethnic Journalism. This is a joint project by the regional branch of the Guild of Interethnic Journalism and by ASU.
At the Nowruz celebration, the two organizers of the School – Ms. Dinara Mezhitova (Chairperson of the Guild of Interethnic Journalism) and Dr. Galina Belolipskaya (Head of the Chair of Theory & History of Journalism of ASU) delivered the workshop “Journalism in Multiethnic Region” for the young people.
Our students made photo and video materials related to the holiday celebration; those materials have been published on the web site of the National Accent federal resource.
Let us remark that according to the Press Service of Governor of Astrakhan Region Mr. Alexander Zhilkin, over 5, 000 guests have come to watch ethnic dances of peoples living in Astrakhan Region, listen to their songs, and try the best dishes of ethnic cuisines. The event hosted 12 ethnic sites, where everyone could learn about customs and traditions of various ethnic communities.
