Contest in German Phonetics at ASU

In middle April 2016, a contest in German phonetics has been held at the Department of Foreign Languages of Astrakhan State University. A number of our future linguists and journalists have taken part in it.

The participants have had to demonstrate their correct pronunciation and intonation by reading a text without any preliminary preparation. A second task was to recite a poem by a German poet by heart or a prosaic extract by a German writer. The contestants have coped with the set tasks well.

All the participants have received memorable prizes; the winners have got diplomas.
