Our main functions are as follows:

• Reference bibliographical service by applying catalogues, card indices, electronic databases, and the Internet;
• Bibliographical references in the “request – answer” mode;
• Composition of bibliographical indices, thematic lists of literature, bulletins of new books, and electronic editions;
• Teaching students fundamentals of library culture;
• Arrangement of thematic exhibitions and open reviews of literature;
• Analytical abstracting of papers as a part of the MARS corporate project by Saratov State University;
• Provision of readers with summary catalogues, book and periodicals indices, and catalogues of new foreign editions in Russian libraries;
• Receipt of orders for electronic deliveries of books.
